----- gestational hypertension BP 140/90 mmHg and above. Onset after 20 th wk of gestation.

Edema on face and legs

Presence of protenuria - above 300mg/ 24hrs

No organ involvement . Creatinine normal

Platelet more than 1laks.

Diet: Normal balanced diet with protein supplements. Sodium restrictions. 2gm/day

Add milk and milk products and vegetables.

-------Preeclampsia- BP 140/90 to 160/110 mm Hg

Protenuria, elevated creatinine, facial and pedal edema, platelet count less than 1laks

Visual disturbances

Dietary modification

Diet with restricted protein.

Sodium restriction 1_2gm/ day

Plenty of vegetables and milk and milk products should be added.

-----Eclampsia BP above 160/ 110 mm Hg

Multiple organ failure , liver, kidney, brain

Eclampsic fits

Nutrition need

Protein restrictions

Calcium rich food_ milk and milk products

Iron rich foods

Green leafy vegetables

Low sodium less than 500mg/ day

Fluid restrictions.
