Nursing Facilities and Adult Daycare
Assume you are responsible for the management and administration of the two facilities. You have to orient the newly appointed manager by providing an overview on managing long-term care. What are the various multidisciplinary departments (teams) included in your facilities?
In our hospital we have the several multidisciplinary departments. The applications of multidisciplinary in healthcare sectors specialty in hospital limits the adverse events and improves outcomes and adds to patient compliances and more satisfaction to the employee. Our hospital has multidisciplinary teams in different level of staff for the treatment such as well trained nurses, physician assistants, physical therapists, social workers, anesthesiologists and attending physicians. This team have consistently well educated and more effective than randomly assigning staff to the emergency room, the floors, Intensive Care Unit, operating room. This team have been working as well-oiled machines to encounter any problems. We can utilize such cohesive teams to limits adverse events, improves patient compliance, reduces patient stay duration and increases patient satisfaction.
Who comprise the target population being served by the various programs provided by your chosen facilities?
The role of nurses in the hospital is very crucial. Nurses gives social support and primarily through several study of clinical and community populations. We have very broad area of target patients. We provide the facility for the different types of the patients such as surgical patients, chronically ill, expectant couples and parents of infants, bereaved and lay caregivers etc.
What are the major staffing and human resource issues faced by your chosen facilities?
Our nursing staff is very well educated and well trained. Presently nursing has become a critical factor in determining the quality of healthcare in hospitals and nature of patient outcomes. Now 24 hour nursing care has become outmost requirements and also has become one of the distinctive hallmarks of inpatient in hospitals. Nursing care has added more importance in hospitals in respect of acuity of patients requires intensive nursing care.
What are the significant trends in long-term care likely to impact the operation of the various programs provided by your chosen facilities, and what is your plan of action to overcome them?
We have very facility of long-term care services which meet both the medical and non-medical requirements to the people having a chronic illness or disability. The patients who cannot care for themselves for a long duration our long-term care would provide at home, in the community, in assisted living facilities or in nursing homes. We have well trained staff for the long term care facility in our hospital.
What are the various forms of cooperation and integration existing in your chosen facilities? Discuss the nature of management, financing, and quality issues related to integration and cooperation in the facilities?
The nature and behaviour of our management team is very nice. We have facility of patient’s feedback, so we evaluate timely to the feedback system. We adopt several systems to analyse s the nature and out puts of the several departments in this hospitals.
