Different types of drug adminstration: drug adminstration is the method of adminstering pharmaceutical compound to achieve a therapeutis effect in human. they are different types of drug adminstration through different routes, they are a)oral adminstration: it is adminstering drug through oral cavity the drug in the form of tablets, capsules and syrups etc. b) buccal/ sublingual drug adminstration: here tablets chewing or are placed under tongue and between cheecks, c) rectal delivery: here drug is placed inside the rectum and it melts at body temperature to give quick effect, d)intravenous adminstration: it is drug adminstrating directly into the blood by injecting the liquid drug in veins with the help of sterile injection. e)subcutaneous delivery: here the liquid drug is given in subcutaneous tissue by injecting with injectors, f) intramuscular delivery: the liquid drug is adminstered in the muscle tissue by injecting with injection.g) novel drug delivery system : it is combination of advanced technique and new dosage forms which we far better than other methods and involves medicinal devices. The nursing consideration with the different adminstration methods are a) the rights of medication adminstration : they are right patient and drug, dose, route , right reason, b) independent double check: c) knowledge : nurse should never adminster a drug which is unfamiliar, d) patient education , e) practice environment : a supportive practice environment including teamwork between physicians and nurses.
