Cohen’s model of status frustration:

Example: Behavior of my Neighbor's son fits in this mode.

Link specific behaviors with specific elements of the theory.

Specific Element Specific Behavior
Social Class He lacks proper parenting and financial support due to his social class. So, he behaves like a helpless student in the class.
School Achievement (Performance & Involvement) This reflected in his school performance also. He got lesser grades in the school. This made him to behave like a student with least confidence and more inferiority in terms of academics.
Status Frustration Above two factors and elements, finally led him to become frustrated from his academic situations and conditions. This caused a lot of stress and strain in him.

Explain what he did in response to the feelings of strain.

Due to his pathetic condition in academics, he avoided the mainstream goals of education, by avoiding school altogether and after that he engaged in delinquency activities such as substance abuse, theft etc.
