Do epigenetics mutate the sequence of our DNA like evolution does? Do they take hundreds of generations to show up like evolution does? If evolution is the driving force behind genetics, what is the driving force behind epigenetics? Could we conclude that it's our environment?

Biological mechanism of epigenetics differ from genetics are-

Epigenetics is the study of heritable changes in phenotype without permanent changes to the DNA of the gene.while genetics is the study of heritable changes in phenotype caused by permanent DNA changes within a particular gene .epigenetics describe passing on the way the genes are used while traditional genetics describe the way the DNA sequence in our genes are passed from one generation to the next.

Epigenetics form an octameric histone while while DNA can wrape around.

Example of epigenetics are methylation ,histone modification.

There are four main forces of evolution behind genetics i.e mutation ,gene flow,genetic drift,and natural selection .mutation generate new genetic varriation in a gene pool ,gene flow and genetic drift alter allel frequency in a gene pool.

Immunesuppression is the predominant driving force for morbidity and mortality ,immune paralysis is reprogramming in immune and proginator cells.

Epigenetics modify the environment in the broad sense .the cells receive all types of signals informing it about it environment so it is specilizing during development.
