Median = 4

Mode = 3, 4

Variance = (3 - 4.5)2 + (4 - 4.5)2 (4 - 4.5)2 + (8 - 4.5)2 + (5 - 4.5)2 + (3 - 4.5)2 + (6 - 4.5)2 + (5 - 4.5)2 + (3 - 4.5)2/10 - 1 = 2.5

Standard deviation = 2.5 = 1.58

Since the p-value (0) is less than the significance level (0.05), we can reject the null hypothesis.

Therefore, we can conclude that it significantly reduces the number of compulsive acts.
