A Medical Scribe is essentially a personal assistant to the physician; performing documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patient's visit, and partnering with the physician to deliver the pinnacle of efficient patient care.
Describe how understanding how to apply statistical measures with discrete and random variables may be applied to the role as a medical scribe?
( I was thinking on example could be the applying random variables to the number of patient's medical charts I scribe? Not really too sure)
Thanks in advance!
1)as medical scriber, you can monitor the distribution of patients arrival age wise, means at particular age how many times the patients visiting the physician. based on that you find the correlation between no of treatments and his symptoms according to agewise.
2) you can infere which medicine is cured his health problem using anova or regression. are the given treatments differe singnificantly
3) Resources allocation: with the help of modeling patience arrival in the hospital, you can devleop queue system as combination either arrival or service time with the mean parameters as poisson or exponential. so that you can allocate the bed to them or nurses or even doctor check up with the some scheduling. so that you can suggest your physician as to build hospital in such way that based on the customer arrival forecast how many bed required and nurses or doctors, etc.
4) Treatment assesment: as previously describe we assess patients health recovery based on past records and current treatment using regression techniques or even deep learning (if we have billion or trillion patients records) to classify his helath status using classification techniques.
Note: point 3 we can use poisson distribution as discrete case arrival time and exponential random variable as service time to serve the patient in the clinic based on his symptoms.
