Ans= In earlier days, steel was not vary familiar material for the construction industry. In those days stone ,brick ,timber and mud and lime mortar was more popular for construction industry.

As the railway was gaining boost as a transport in 18th century. It brought the uses of the strong ,durable material for this purpose one of the form of ferrous material ie wrought iron.

But the use of steel was rare as working expensive.in 1855 sir Henry and Thomas made the steel production efficient and cheaper. It has very high value of tensile strength ,durability ,easy working, warning before collapse, fast erection, very high aesthetic appearance ,high salvage value etc accelerated the use of steel as building material.eventhough it being very expensive but importance and severity of condition it is continued in uses.

In US,1871 due to fire several timber building were demilished and rule was passed for the use of non combustive material.till then steel is gaining preferance as building material .it is also very popular nowadays as reinforcement material for conctrete and being used worldwide. Some example of important steel structure........

1883_Brooklyn bridge

1889 _ effil tower

1912_woolworth building

1971_US steel tower

2009_Burz khalifa

These structures showing the denendancy on steel as building material.

Steel Structures: The rolling process is one of the most frequently used forming processes for producing steel sections. Nonetheless, other forming and fabrication processes can be used to create a range of section shapes in the steel production process. For this assignment, you are required to review the other four types of steel forming/fabricating processes including drawing (manufacturing), extrusion, casting and forging Task 1: (IN YOUR WORDS) Write (250 words), Review the extrusion process and mention the type of section(s)...
