Should pre-service, point-of-service, and after-service activities exist in a health care organization? Why? Are there differences among these activities?
Pre-service
Planning and activities that allows the company to recognize its clients and services that will be provided to them such as market research ,pricing, promotion, logistics, branding. Therefore in healthcare organization ,marketing research plays that role of collecting data about market ,potential customers, thier habits ,needs etc.Designing service will satisfies doctors and patients in case of long term medication and emergency cases.Branding helps to build a good trust in customers mind which in this case is doctors and patients.Pricing in healthcare system must be moderate because it's difficult to determine the quality of products available in medical care .Distribution should be made in such a way that medical products reach a long distance because people don't want to travel for such products.
Point-of-service
It revolves around delivery and patient care and many other health care activities such as marketing, innovation, satisfaction, clinical operations, quality. In quality of health care organization they should increase the efficiency and effectiveness of services.New improvements and developments can be made and checked how good they are compared to the conventional methods. In marketing ,identification of new customers is the major thing.Enhancing experience of the patient in health care system is the only way to satisfy the patieent.
After service
This is the contact customer maintain for further service in case of a hospital for next appoinment ,also follow-up,follow-on,billing.Follow up is where we need to call patient and ask about their well being and howmuch improvement they have made etc. This is just to show our concern.Billing deals with all the final dues of medicines, admit charges, doctor's fee, hospital charges, taxes etc ,here avoid errors and address issues.Follow on is about additional care and further services such as weekly check ups.
