An effective leadership will always lead an effective decision making. The role of leader in an organisation is same as the role of captain of a ship.
Leader will provide direction, ethical work, proper decisiveness and structural guidance in order to make an effective decision.
Leader have to motivate and take proper control of all the decision making bodies.
Leaders have to oversees all the factors regarding decision making and the impact of decision on all over the organisation.
Leader have to empower every individual, and provide a participative environment while decision making process.
Leader have to identify all the important information related to decision making. Leader have to identify the needed changes or any addition of new ideas in the decision making.
A proper exchange of view and healthy discussion should be done among all the team members under the guidance of the leader while decision making process.
For example - Prime Minister of India is one of the world's great emerging leader. His decision to implement lock down in all over the nation of India during this world pandemic due to COVID 19 is one of his biggest decision. For taking decision on complete lock down in India, he did a proper meeting with all the state government heads and all the other high position officials of India. He discussed all the impact of Corona and it's causes, impact of lock down on all the people of India, economy and everything. The main motto of PM of India is to save Indians from COVID 19. He direct all the state government to follow certain rules and strictly follow the rules of lock down. In between all these things, the decision of lock down in India on right time saves millions of life and every Corona warriors trying their best to have control on the COVID 19 as soon as possible. So role of leader in a decision making is very much crucial and important.
