ANxious disorders are on the rise in today's teens use the biological and sociocultural perspectives to explain why this is occurring. Focus should be on why these disorders are on the rise today for teens. What is different biologically and sociocultural today than compared with teens in the past?

Various chemicals like neurotransmitters are present in the brain and these areresponsible for sending messages back and forth. When these neurotransmitters are disturbed, it creates the various anxiety disorders. One of the main biological reason behind teens having such disorders is due to their eating habits. Various eating disorders can been seen among teenagers today because of harmful eating behaviours. It not only impact ones physical helath but also mental health conditions.

There are various sociocultural factors which causes anxiety disorder in teens today. Some of these factors include negative attitude towards shyness and avoidance, inability to maintain relationships, lack of employment and education opportunities.

There are great biological and sociocultural differences between the teens of today and to that of past. Earlier, teenagers didnt had junk food. They were more use to homemade and organic food which was fresh. Today, many teenagers have bad eating habits and they are too much into junk food which hampers their mental health. Teenagers today have access to social media which makes them more lonely and anxious.
