Workplace spirituality is a belief in something that is higher than oneself which highlights the people presence, connecting with their inner being and work in their own way towards the community and the people around them. Workplace community helps the employees to connect with other employees, help each other and do their part for the welface of the community. Workplace spirituality even helps to uplift the employee's spirit and increase productivity.
We use the beliefs of spirituality to enhance the care, understanding and empathy that is given, as well as the drive to heal, comfort and make the patient well again or in some cases, just to comfort and care as they transition to their next realm or state of being.
There are many benefits of spirituality in health care , these benefits have a direct effect on mortality, coping and recovery. According to Pulchalski, Observational studies suggest that people who have regular spiritual practices tend to live longer and moreover, those who are spiritual may use these beliefs in coping with illness, life stressors or pain. Individuals who are spiritual also, tend to have a more positive outlook and a better quality of life.
Spiritual beliefs help people to cope with disease and to face death. Those who have a spiritual commitment tend to have an enhanced recovery from illness and surgery and specific spiritual practices have been shown to improve health outcomes. Spiritual care has positive effects on a person's stress response.It improves their performance and improves their spiritual well being.
