Time is changing with adjustments and both individuals and organisations need to adapt. Improvements of computing and communications technologies and information technology have improved the SSA. Claims were handled more thoroughly informatically. Public officials manage a variety of cases by putting data directly on Baltimore's key SSA servers and providing clear responses. This raising the number of allegations submitted by the PSCs. The research in the PSCs has now been more computerized and simplified by new technology. Authorizers of claims and benefits managed further correspondence simply by pressing a key on the computer terminal which allowed the correspondence to be written. The need of typists was popular.Increased material was directed to the database and less manual documentation was done, and the requirement for file officers to process documents was reduced. The modules demanded less and less typers and file managers. This caused issues as the module was more reliant on its working patterns, because only a few file clerks were required and two were only allocated. If all file officers were absent, the managers of the module had to register to continue the function of the project.

The PSC's assistant director (A.D.) in one of the PSC's in the midwest of the United States has an idea of solving the diminishing need for clerk files. He started a new organization, which allocated file officers to different units from which they would be supplied, if need be, to the containers. The concept followed the old notion of a lake of typeface or a secretariat. The problem was that the registrars felt separated and disconnected from their modules. The A.D. The A.D. learned in a very dramatic way the plight of file clerks. Every day in his office he was told to go back to his desk by the file clerks 'units. The A.D. The A.D. Were delighted. He noticed, but did not expect the file officers to adjust, they were disappointed with the changes they had made. He didn't know how to go. He didn't know what "funeral" meant or could convey except that the file officers were upset
