In order to manage change and implement change strategies, it is important to avoid implementing irrelevant or random methods and try to focus on a suitable plan of action. Change management is an ongoing process that takes time, expertise, dedication and efforts to implement and run. It requires the involvement of people or staff of the company and may also result in these people being affected by the changes too. Before adopting one of the many effective and popular change management approaches and models, an organization must first figure out why it needs the changes and how will the changes benefit it.

Major Approches of Change management :

Change management is currently one of the most used business management Technologies nowadays It requires very complex skills. This change Management Technology has been used for several years to change and make the work easy for the growth of an organisation. Change is the necessity of nature. Change management is done so that new employees of new generation are added in the organisation which have new ideas for the growth of the organisation. As the new generation have more enthusiasm and ability to crack opportunities as they work harder and complete all the tasks before time which they are provided. Change management is necessary and it is the tuff of Call for the management to hire new members at the higher post. Advantages of Change management are:

  1. Implementing new ideas ine techniques.
  2. Improving productivity.
  3. Increasing enthusiasm in employees.

Change Management Model :

One of the oldest model in this aspect is Lewin's 1951 model change. Which consists of 3 stages, they are :

  1. Current behaviour should unfreezed.
  2. Moving towards the new behaviour.
  3. New behaviour should be freezed.

Unfreezing current behaviour is very necessary as changes are the necessity which opens mind and flexibility to accept new change in work. It's basically to come out from the comfort zone and get ready for a change. Manager should clear the minds of the employees to stop using old ideas and roles as they are outdated now.  

Moving towards the new behaviour means accepting the new ideas and practices Which must be implemented in work enter a new mode of development.

New behaviour should be freezed means the new ideas should be implemented in the work so that production increases with good quality and at a high rate.

Cost and Risks of Change Management :

  1. Projects are being delayed.
  2. Overrunning of budget.
  3. Loss of work.
  4. Rework on old design.
  5. Budget overruns.
  6. Mile stones are missed.
  7. May lost project.
