Strength

IKEA is the one of the biggest companies in the world in terms of brand value. It is in the top 10 retailers in the world according to Forbes. IKEA has a total extremely large the revenue from the same market as well as profit margin is also very huge. IKEA's total sales has 70% of its parts in Europe. Ideas products are very cost effective which helps it to capture a large market segment as well as they also have a very strong research and development portfolio. It is known to be one of the best marketers as they follow the smart marketing by implementing their product development into movies as well as at other places.

Weaknesses

In many countries IKEA has a negative brand image which is creating trouble for operation of the company in different countries. It's also face is corruption problems in countries like Russia which is also diminishing its brand image. As it has availability of very large product range, maintaining the product quality is very tough for IKEA which is not always possible. Scalability in different countries is also were the main parts which is not controllable due to the extremely large was the structure of ITI in different countries. Environmental problem is also one of the factors which are responsible for creating and negative brand image as increasing raw material cost adds another problem to the weaknesses of IKEA.

Opportunities

IKEA has a very great opportunity of shifting its trains to the environment friendly product Rangers. By providing products to the cost conscious customers I can easily increase its overall compatibility towards the market and can be in better revenue from the same market system. Expanding its business to the developing countries like India and China by providing low cost products would definitely benefit the company in a positive way and create a better brand image as well as the profit.

Threats.

IKEA has the biggest threat of fake products. At the brand has a strong brand identity in many other false companies are making copies of the products. Updating and innovating their product range as well as property advertisement would keep this specific segment low. Changing government laws in different countries are also one of the most important factors which is threatening iKEA as changes in the law directly affects the overall business in the country. DIY has enable people to develop their own products which is also a threat to it as IKEA provide instructions for most of its products. Are people are getting paid higher, they are looking for premium options rather than going for the cost effective products from IKEA.


IKEA has a very strong competition from its competitors across the globe. Walmart is one of the main competitors which is focusing on reducing the overall market of it has Walmart is also providing cost effective product to capture the market of IKEA in the specific segment.
