As a consequence many companies these days are not being an equal opportunity employer and not hiring people if he or she don’t have a proper specification in that domain area. This creates a limitation of the scope of jobs available.

There will be selective job opportunities.
A large pool of unemployment due to mismatch of skills and job requirement
The education system will get affected as there should be need of more specific and job-related courses
Fresher needs to do a lot of hard work before actually landing in a job

This is a bad thing and it affects the lives of millions. For example, a salesperson who has amazing sales skills used to be a sales guy in an FMCG company gets a denial for the sales job in a Publishing house on the ground that he used to sell FMCG product. This is bad and should not be the case. A salesperson is a salesperson and he can sell a thread to a car to anybody.
