Explain the similarities and differences between Kant's concerns about sexual objectification and MacKinnon's and Dworkin's concerns about sexual objectification.
There is great similariities among kant's concerns about sextual objectification and Mackinnon and Dworkin 'concern about sextual objectification . Both are blieve in humanity and human love , affection , sympathy , respect . When two opposite sex indulge themselves in relationship , it's only for arouse stimulation and appetite . They viewed sex as a object commodity which make less the value of human.object is just a instrumental worth which greater harm for humanity .sex has observed as objectification which even create inequality society . A sex object has defined on the basis of it's looks . He also agree with kantian view that each person is rational and free for his choice as well as opposed in instrumental worth
Diffrence :
Kant took excersize of sextuality is inherent problematic but in Mackinnon and Dworkin point view that what is problematic is not sextuality rather sextuality has created through porno graphy .They believed that objectification is causes of gender inequality .
Acoording to Kant , the soloution of objectification is only marriage . He believed that each person surrender themselves to other and having wonderful mutual understanding and take responsibility to lead the relatioship and inculcate humanity .
But Mackkinnon and Dworkin '' claim that marriage is not soloution of sex objectification . These feminist argued that hetrosextual relationship causes loss of dignity and humanity of women .so according to them , fight against sex objectification is fight against gender inequality and pornography which initially give message that women just object of sex .
