Discuss the similarities and differences between a rights-based argument against sexual harassment and a justice-based argument against sexual harassment. Do you feel one ethical methodology is more applicable than the other?
If we look at the similarities between both types of arguments against sexual harassment, it is clear that any activity that is being done forcefully by any individual whether it is a male or female in order to get the sexual favors will be against the norms of the laws. This sort of initiative may be reported to the corresponding authorities both within the organization and the legal authorities to get justice against this discrimination. Every individual has the right and legal protection to get protected from any sort of unwanted sexual initiative in the office place. Any incidence can be brought to the corresponding authorities to get the justice
On the other hand, if we look at the differences, then the title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 indicates that it is the legal right of every person to get protection from any pe of sexual intrusion from others, while the right based argument indicates that it is the right of every person to raise a voice against the sexual harassment and he or she has the right to work in a safe and discrimination-free and it is the right of the person get informed about the different organizational policies related to these sort of initiatives.
In my opinion, both are equally important as for getting any kind of protection against any sort of discrimination or being the victim of any unwanted act, it is both the right and legal responsibility of the person to raise a voice against such acts and file the complaints both within the organization and with the external law enforcement agencies.
