Similarities and differences between natural, domestic, and sexual selection.
Similarities
Selection of the process which can act naturally or artificially and is helpful in positively selecting the beneficial traits and negatively selecting out the harmful traits. The beneficial traits persist in the population and harmful traits are eliminated from the population by the process of selection.
Differences
Natural selection is the process which helps the organism to survive better in its environment. It helps the organism to adapt in its Habitat and the process of natural selection positively select the adaptation which are useful for the organism to survive in the environment and negatively select those which are harmful for the survival of the organism.
Domestic selection is artificial selection in which human being select those plant and animal varieties which are better than the others. These varieties may be better because of high production, high nutritive value, high shelf life etc. So, human beings select the plant varieties which are having these beneficial trades and then inbreed them so that we get a persistent of these traits in the population.
Sexual selection of the process where members of one sex to the members of other sex having specific sexual characteristics. These characteristics are mainly physical appearance of the animal.
