1) for those people entering the nursing profession, codes of ethics serves as a guide. It usually acts as a non negotiable standard of ethics for nurses. The code requires the nurses to continue with their learning and evidence based practice. The codes of ethics for nurses means ensuring the integrity and safety, personal and professional growth and competence. The nurse have to consider these issues when advocating for patients and families as well as consider their own personal beliefs when caring for others. It also acts as a reminder for nurses commitment to society. The code of ethics reminds nurses of their primary focus which is centered around the care and rights of the patients.
2) Metaethics ethics explore as well the connection between values, reasons for action and human motivation and asking how it is that moral standards might provide us with reasons to do or refrain from doing as it demands.
