Mr. XYZ is working as a senior business analyst in the marketing division of the company and is responsible for assisting product managers to fine-tune their product strategy. This is a performance review report for Mr. XYZ based on the following evaluation parameters:

  • Domain knowledge: XYZ has got an overall experience of seven years in the field of product management and analysis. Although his experience is quite varied and comprehensive, XYZ needs to improve on some concepts of product management such as lifecycle analysis and product pricing. The overall rating that XYZ would receive on this parameter is Meet Job Requirement.
  • Teamwork: As a business analyst, XYZ is responsible for interacting with other business analyst and product managers and is expected to collaborate and contribute to team objectives. However, as per feedback from his peers and his managers, he is not forthcoming in sharing information and usually refrains from contributing to team discussions. Thus he needs to actively improve his skills in interacting with team members and contributing to the team. Overall rating: Needs improvement
  • Initiative: XYZ is a good worker and executes things professionally. However, he does whatever is told of him and never takes an initiative to contribute or come up with ideas or innovation.   • Financial acumen: XYZ possesses good financial acumen and provides good analytical reports on the financial viability of products based on sales and financial projections provided to him. Overall rating: Outstanding
  • Mentoring juniors: XYZ needs to start mentoring and coaching other junior analyst and management trainees. He can start with taking knowledge sharing sessions and taking few new joiners’ under his fold to enable them to come up to speed in this field. Overall rating: Needs improvement
