A3.2
Explain why it is important to actively support a team through all stages but particularly the first three. (50–100 words)
1. Forming Stage
In this stage introduction of team members and project is done.
Project goals, timeline and individual roles are discussed.
2. Storming Stage
In the storming stage, the reality and weight of completing the task at hand hits everyone. There can be discussions, arguments and even conflicts in thoughts among the team members.
3. Norming Stage
This is the stage in which strength of individuals starts showing. Groups start to settle into a groove and thus it actually starts working as a team.
Everyone starts contributing and thus starts working as a unit.
After these stages comes the Performing and Adjourning stage.
It is thus really important to support the team specifically during the first 3 stages.
If we can hold on properly for the first 3 stages then the team will start giving desired results for which it was created.
The storming stage can be a bit difficult to handle sometimes but it should always be kept in mind that once you go through this phase the outcome can be huge.
