Explain why it is important to have an interprofessional health care team involved in the care of a person living with Cystic Fibrosis. In your answer explain what is meant by the term interprofessional health care team. What roles (professions) might be on this team and why, ie. how might they contribute to the care of the individual living with CF?

Cystic fibrosis is a complex diseases,it requires a team approach with health care professionals.A CF team includes a group of cystic fibrosis health care professionals to provide specialized,comprehensive cystic fibrosis care.

Interprofessional health care team in CF team and roles

  • CH nurse

They are the specialized in cystic fibrosis (CF) care and fill the variety of nurse's role in CF care center setting.They are also providing CF education in the initial diagnosis and throughout the life.

  • CF Doctor

They work with the CF team and develop medical plan that meets the individual needs.And also applying clinical best practices by staying on the top CF care guidlines ans concuct the clinical trials to bring about new CF trreatment and therapies for CF.

  • CF Dietitian

They develops a nutritional paln and work with the team to meet the nutritional goals through tube feeding.

  • CF Social worker

The assess and councils on the emotional,social and financialaspects of living with Cf.Ans also teaches to cope up with the stress of disease and how it impact the family and friends
