Expert Solution

Both, environmental stewardship and sustainable development are related to the environment and its conservation, but they are very different from each other. Environmental stewardship is mainly concerned with the conservation and sustainability of biodiversity and focuses on the protection of the wildlife. It focuses on the fact that because of the tourists', researchers' and other peoples' interests, the natutal world that comprises of the forests and different species that live in them, should not be affected in a negative way. A large part of the natural forests, animals, lands, etc. have been negatively affected in the past years for the benefit of mankind. Environmental stewardship is an initiative to not destroy the nature and its beauty any further.

Sustainable development is the development that takes place for the present generation(by usage of the resources, necessary), keeping in mind the needs of the future generation. It focuses on the conservation of mainly natural resources by using them in such a way presently, that the future generation has enough of the resources for their use and they do not have to make any kind of compromises. It ensures that the people use the resources present in the nature judiciously, without any wastage. Recycling and reusing of resources, wherever and whenever possible, is a great example of sustainable development. Sustainable development mainly focuses on the conservation and sustainablity of the economic, social and environmental aspects.
