Affirmative actions are basically a reflection of various laws and policies. These policies and guidelines basically work in the direction of ending any type of discrimination. Discrimination may be on the basis of cast, color, religion etc.. Such type of discrimination is harmful for any society.

Special provisions are made for those people who are considered related from the group of disadvantaged group. These provisions help people who have faced discrimination. These actions try to ensure a level of equality in society.

Dworkin also says that if there will be more number of black students in university campus then this factor will increase diversity in educational system. He seems to be in support of learning in a diversified educational environment.

He says that such environment prepares students to work with their level best efficiencies in a society which has a pluralistic nature. This brings unified nature to whole society.
