Black power is a revolution during the period of 1960s and 1970s that focused reforms that was based upon making black Americans to develop self pride, develop their own cultural organizations and economic empowerment of the black American people. It helped them to make these people to remain motivated and feel pride of what they have as a cultural heritage.
Kerner Commission was established to investigate the race riots and focused upon reforms for the more of economic opportunities for the black people, proper housing policies and social engagement reforms for these people so that they remain engaged. The commission also indicated that these reforms were required at the level of federal government and state government so that people with Racial background get more opportunities. It could prevent racial riots.
Civil rights act, 1968 focused upon reforms related to discrimination that is based upon, religion, sex, color, ethnicity among the others. It led to the prevention of discrimination in the organizations and helped everyone the opportunity to get employed and progress.
