The strategic management process means the process where the
strategies for the organization are framed, goals are set and
strategies are implemented and monitored. It is very important to
involve the employees so that they contribute towards the strategic
management process. Following steps can be taken by the companies
to make the employees contribute towards strategic management
process:
- More employee participative leadership styles should be
followed by the supervisors to ensures the full involvement of the
employees.
- Giving the employees a platform to speak out their ideas
related to the strategic management process.
- Setting the goals and targets for the employees, after
discussing the same with the employees and taking their opinion on
the same.
- Creating an open and transparent culture so that the employees
feel informed about every step while formulation of strategic
plans, and they give in their inputs on timely basis.
(Answer 2)
Many organizations fail to implement the plans successfully due
to the following reasons:
- The organizations do not formulate realistic plans and the
targets so set by them are not achievable from the very
beginning.
- While formulating the plans, the organizations do not take the
input of the employees and the workforce who are actually needed to
implement those plans, thus fail in the end.
- No feedback from employees is taken from time to time at each
stage, thus the chances of failure increases as no modifications
are done due to lack of inputs from employees.
- Lack of proper leadership also leads to deviations from the set
plans and deviations among the employees, hence chances of failure
while implementation.
