The six major theories of socialization are group socialization - It is about individual groups, peer groups, family how they play role on the individual's personality. Gender Socialization theory - It is learning of attutude and behaviour considered appropriate of gender.cultural socializatoin - Cultural influence on the personality,Human Psyche- about id, ego and super ego, Piaget's thepry of cognitive development, Positive adult development.

Media is influential, it plays an important role on our thinkig. Esp kids and the teenagers are quicklky influenced by media and then they try to adop their lifestyle.I think media has definately played a major role using gender socialization theory. In any movie or serial two major parts are hero and heroin. The heroin os shown beautiful and having women attributes of slim, curcy and doing womenly type pf work whereas a man is shown fiercy, going out for work. This was more shown in all the disney cartoons. The women are stereotyped in all the disney famous cartoons of alladin, snow white. Except for news the gender socialization plays a major role in media.
