-Socialization is the process thought which we learn about the culture, the normative norms and values which are acceptable and common with a given society and culture.

-Gender socialization is one type of socialization theory. This theory states the learning and initiation of actions and behaviors considered congruent and for a given sex.

- The media has been very active in teaching and dissemnitaing the gender approrte rules, be it through the character portrayal through gh various sitcoms and/or movies or TV shows. Media has also been responsible in shaping the gender roles by speech and articles, wherein there are opinions voiced which help shape perspective.
