Functional prerequisites are the basic needs such as food ,water , shelter which save the individuals to fall in the well of poverty .Social welfare scheme will full these and it will help in maintaining the social order which is the main idea of functionalist perspective .This inequality which is addressed by the social welfare scheme is necessary for the working and equilibrium of the society according to functionalist perspective . Conflict sociologists will view it as an equal distribution of the resources in order to stop the conflict which is present in the society for the scarce resources .
