As we functionalist sociologists view the society as a system which is very complex in nature and the parts which are present in the society work together to make the system stable . This also focuses on promoting solidarity in the society . A social welfare scheme will be seen as a fulfiller of functional prerequisites by the finalist sociologist . Functional prerequisites are the basic needs such as food ,water , shelter which save the individuals to fall in the well of poverty .Social welfare scheme will full these and it will help in maintaining the social order which is the main idea of functionalist perspective .This inequality which is addressed by the social welfare scheme is necessary for the working and equilibrium of the society according to functionalist perspective . Conflict sociologists will view it as an equal distribution of the resources in order to stop the conflict which is present in the society for the scarce resources .
