Lower power distance country: Netherland, United Kingdom, United States and Germany.
The power distance is an anthropological concept, used to find the cultural aspects of the country which varying power, effects and perception of the individuals. The high power distance shows a hierarchy where everyone has their place. In lower distance society the people aim to distribute power equally. This power distance will influence the behaviour of people in different countries. In high power distance country, there is a chance for inequality among the people. Because the power is based on hierarchy. There are ideological difference occurred between this different groups. The low distance countries aim to attain equality among all the people. This ensures social security and equal rights to the people. There is a sustainability in development can be attained through this. There is equal participation ensured to the people politically, economically and socially.
The power distance index was formed to measure the differences in power within society, organization and institutions. These indexes represent the inequality among the community. In lower index, there is small emotional distance. Here the people are interdependent to the power holders. The low power distance having high level impact on the society than the higher one.
