Is health care a right or a privilege? What does the UDR say? Do some research on universal health care. Can it work? Should we be going to a single payer system in the US? How can we ensure that ALL people have health care?

Expert Solution

Health care is considered as a right and not as a privilege. Health care is highly important to prevent diseases and to provide medical care. It is considered as a rights because every people with or without any financial background should have the access to all services regarding health at any time or any where they need.

Utility discount rate states the usefulness or availability of any coming conditions such as goods consumption.

Universal health care is a system which ensures or provides all medical or health care services to all individuals in a country. It is the duty of federal government to provide these services to each and everyone without considering his financial capabilities. Thus this system provides equal care to everyone which results in a healthy and effective workforce.

A single payer system can take a lot of money from the profits regarding investments and from bureaucracy. Thus these funds can be used for providing more health care and medical services. It also provides rights for taking decisions regarding resource allocation.

We can ensure that all the people have acces to health care by the following steps :

  • By establishing a head on each state for monitoring the accessibility of health care services.
  • Investing more in medical technologies and health care policies.
  • By establishing an ehealth agency at the respective levels of the government.
  • By establishing private sector technological projects.

Thanks !..
