Every profession requires a set of personality characteristics that are essential for success in that field. For instance, if we take the profession of a person working in law enforcement and further in the homicide department. This person would need to be extremely analytical, calculating, prescient in their approach, high in neuroticism, and have a deeper understanding of human behavior and psyche. These are usually high pressure jobs and most high pressure jobs demand similar permutations and combinations of skills and personality characteristics.

Having all of these characteristics would make this person a specialist in this given field. If a person wants to be in the field of communication then they need to have a very good linguistic understanding, along with people skills that would also entail understanding the human mind to be able to draft effective communication, amongst other things like high in openness to experiences.
