You are a human services professional at an emergency shelter. A major flood has recently occurred in a nearby community, destroying many homes and businesses. Your new clients are the Rodriguez family: father, Michael; mother, Sarah; and twin 9-year-old daughters, Cynthia and Mary. The Rodriguez family has lost their home in the flood, and does not have flood insurance. In addition, the family's livelihood has been compromised because the restaurant where Sarah worked was destroyed in the flood. Michael is a full-time student, so the family has lost its only source of income. Identify and briefly describe the crisis/es facing the Rodriguez family. Describe the basic needs that first must be addressed for the family. Describe what the family's ongoing needs will be. Explain which issues will need to be addressed in order to remove the Rodriguez family from their current crisis/es. Explain which model(s) of intervention you might use to address the family's basic and ongoing needs, and why. Select at least three specific skills and/or strategies that would assist you in implementing the model(s) you selected. Then explain how you might execute these skills and/or strategies and why they might be effective in addressing the family's basic and ongoing needs. Support your Application Assignment with specific references to all resources used in its preparation. You are asked to provide a reference list only for those resources not included in the Learning Resources for this course.
Crisis is Rodriguez family-
They are facing money crisis because from money they can only buy food and shelter to live.
- They are facing a financial crisis because all had been drown in the flood and they do not have anything to earn and to eat.
Basic need for the family-
1) First any family need a food for the family member to survive and shelter to keep head safes in it .
2) Family need some food and food making materials which can e used for the survival.
3) Family needs a protected place where they can make women safe and discuss things privately.
The only ongoingbneed will be the job to earn money.
By earning and doing job the family can earn and buy food and shelter for themselves and the twin daughters.Else they cannot survive.
They need a place to live where they can eat food and sleep. They need some food to survive as of now then home or place to live at the earliest.
Three strategies are-
1) Help from the government-.
The family must need to know the benifits and places offered by the government for the needy or the flood victims. They need to know the utilization of the government helps.
2) They need to know the strategies where they need to know how to survive with the low food and how to swim because as their condition is not good. They need to know how to earn at the earliest for the survival and from where they can get help.
3) They should opt out for the employment in the near by places or call to their known one with the local people help and ho out to earn money and buy food as in family most people are aged and childrens.
Michael need to do it with the family support and help.
