In dealing with floods and assessment of damages, the safety of those involved in the process can be enhanced through;

  • providing the necessary gadgets or equipment s to that are need to control water.
  • They should put on life jackets
  • Those involved must be well trained prior to the process.
  • They should have the expertise in disaster management.

I would make them be cautious of the water levels and to wear protective gear due to the health impact that a post-flood zone can have.They must keep in frequent communication with the supervisor and update on their status at every point within the flood zone.

Assessing damage caused by flood is different from other forms of disaster or hazards such as fire due to the property segments left behind during the incident. The fire often destroys everything compared to floods where parts of the structures destroyed can be traced during the process of assessing the damage. In most case, the are is often at risk of land slide or more flooding.

Explanation:

Assessing the damages in a flood zone is key in developing the framework for compensating the victims.
