What are the consequences to a hotel operator of a customer such as Thomas Cook

What are the consequences to a hotel operator of a customer such as Thomas Cook collapsing into liquidation?  How does it affect resigning contracts with new owners?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The hotel owners are unlikely to have been paid by Thomas Cook and will be unlikely to receive any payments after the collapse. The problem with trading under the Thomas Cook name in the future means that these hotels might be suspicious that the same thing could happen again and would require some reassurance.
