Professional values are intrinsic to socail work. What personal experience demonstrates you awareness of and sensitivity to issues of race, ethnicity,gender,age, sexual orientation, disability, and border issues, and population?

Gender :

People are discriminated in accordance based on their gender. Not treating males and females on a similar note , not treating them equally ( be it in case of equal pay of women as compared to that of men) . Women are considered to be subordinate to men.

Race :

People who belong to another race , are usually discriminated. People in their working place are secluded/isolated from another race . They are not given benfits of the company and hence cannot reap the benefits. They are not given promotion . They are not treated fairly in terms of skin colour, facial features, etc.

Sexual Orientation:

The ones who are not heterosexual are made fun of. Trans Gender, Homosexuals are not looked normally by the people. They are treated differently. In order to transform themselves , they undergo surgeries.

Disability :

The ones who are disabled are not allowed to enter certain places such as clubs . They are barred form it.

Ethnicity :

Ethnic people are considered to be the ones who belongs to a certain group, have similar religion, language ,race, etc.

Eg : People fear of the ones who belong to Muslim Community.

Age

People who are below 18 are not allowed to drink alcohol.

Border Issues :

People who are immigrants , migrate from another place are the ones residing in borders. They are discriminated on the basis of their race, ethnicity , language etc.

Population :

The country with high population and the ones who belongs from lower class , tends to get poor medical health facility . This in turn increases the mortality rate of the country.
