Define and explain 4 Legal and Social Issues in Internet Marketing. Describe how they may negatively impact the entity being violated.
Four legal and social issues in internet marketing are as follows-
A. Privacy and data collection-this is one of the problems related to internet marketing because companies have often been accused of online monitoring of customers and they have been collecting the private data of customers without their appropriate authorisation so they are committing a legal breach and unethical practice.
B. Intellectual property rights violations violations are also common with Internet marketing as these are the companies who are unauthorised using the contents of other authorised users who have legally created the content and they are not provided these companies to use the content but they are using it illegally and this is another ethical and legal problems associated with Internet marketing.
C. Terms and conditions in internet marketing is not properly defined and internet marketing has often been accused of not maintaining the proper transparency in its overall operation so these companies who are using internet marketing are not properly defining the terms and condition and consumer wrap agreement so there is a huge breach of legal regulations and social ethics.
D. Advertisements in internet marketing are not properly regulated so there are various advertisements who are inappropriate in nature and they can be shown to various minors who are not appropriate for those contents and these contents are never regulated so companies are getting away with doing this legal breach.
These are negatively impacting the entities who are being violated because these are creating a bad impact for the company on the mind of the customers and these are also creating a bad business reputation along with a consumer distrust so there would be various problems regarding retention of customers for a long period of time.
