Here, the internet based channels are emails, social media platforms, Google Adwords, Google search and mobile apps among the others. These channels are used by the marketers to build communication with the target audience on the basis of customized messages and convert them into a business. Besides, internet marketing also creates awareness and educate the consumers.

For a real world example, Amazon is the eCommerce company that uses internet marketing. Primarily, Amazon uses email marketing by sending promotional emails to the prospective as well as existing consumers. Besides, Google Adwords & Bing Ads as a part of search engine marketing and Affiliate marketing are also being used by the company. It is the internet marketing, that has helped the company to spread its presence in different geographical areas with high level of precision.

Hence, internet marketing is used to drive the visitors to the portal where the different products are displayed. Afterwards, the consumers take decisions and buy the product.

Internet marketing is helpful in those products that are of high value such as electronic gadgets, apparels and other high value items. Since these products have a high profit margin, then price can be reduced and competitive advantage over the offline sales is developed. It causes the increase in sales. Besides, the high value sales easily cover the express of internet marketing and the portal can be in profits. So, internet marketing is more conducive to the products who are high value as well as standardized.
