Explain what it means for a therapy to be evidence based or empirically supported.

Evidence based therapy is also referred to as the therapy in which the therapist would be aiming so as to include the plans of treatment methods that have previously been chosen to be useful. This is through review of the scientific evidence. These approaches are referred to as the best practice approach and the “preferred” approach for a psychological symptom that has been presented. In this practice, there would be inclusion of the clinical state of the patient along with the circumstances of the patient and their actions.

Integrative Behavioral couple therapy is also referred to as the Behavioral marital therapy a newer couples therapy approach in which there is scientific support though the clinical trials, and their outcomes. There are two versions of integration, one in which there would be integration of the positive outcomes of the couples, having greater Acceptance of emotions and the second approach uses treatment strategies in which there would be a particular framework.
