do you believe that leadership skills are natural or learned. given that perspective, give some examples stratergies that help to hone one's own leadership skills.

Leadership Skills are both natural and learned. Although it has a natural component to it, we acnnot say that leadership is a born trait. It is more of a learned competancy than natural. A leader cannot continue leading if he is not open to leadership ideasa dn improve his leadership skills by observing and learning

Leadership skills can be learned, tailored and suited to ones style of leadership. Leaders are not any different from others, but they are just prepared to lead. There are a lot of programs offering tailor made leadership skills based on the needs of people.

Strategies to hone Leadership Skills

1. Have a clear vision : have a clear idea of where you want to be and set direction for that. have short term milestones as stepping stones to reach your dream.

2. Be a Role Model : A leader becomes a leader only when others admire him/her and start following/. Unless you set a bench mark and be a role model, why should they admire you and follow you

3. Know your strengths and weaknesses. understand where you stand , what are your strengths and weaknesses. Nurture the strengths. Make your weaknesses neutral and dont be vulnerble to it. As a next step you must work hard to make your weaknesses your strength.

4. Improve Communication Skills.A leader is most know about how he/she talks, writes and carry himself/herself around. All these are attributes of communications. one should have good oral, written and non-verbal communications kills to be a good leader. the body language and style of doing things also matters

5. A good leader is somewone who can motivate others and take them along. he should be resoursefull so that he can make anyone work for you, no matter where he/she is and whom dioes he reports to
