We are seeing a seismic shift in BI (Business Intelligence) and business process management. This was apsolutely true that more and more people are seeking cloud business intelligence as well as cloud warehouses. After some research here what I found:

Cloud Business Intelligence:

Cloud Business Intelligence also termed as Cloud Bi in short. Bi applications are generally Hosted under a virtual network, like the internet. Cloud BI involves people, processes, tools and applications that help to organize, analyze information and enable access to data such as dashboards, KPIs( Key Performance Indicator) and business analytics.

Organizaions of all sizes can benefit from Cloud Bi. It helps the organization to make strong, informed, strategic, tactical and operational decisions as well. It is the combined power of Cloud Computing and BI technology that makes a cloud BI a viable proposition. Typically all cloud BI solutons are hosted in a highly secure state-of-the-art datacentre.

However, Cloud BI technology can allow access the data and monitor the business from anywhere.

Cloud Data WareHouse:

Cloud Data Warehouse is a database that delivered their data on a public cloud under managed services.

A simple data warehouse is constructed using heterogeneous from different sources and converts it to one database which later delivered to public cloud. It involves data integration, cleaning, etc. Third party organization that offers their cloud for accessing data are Microsoft azure, amazon web services, etc.

Cloud data warehouse helps to grow business more rather than managing servers of the organization. Theitr are quite decent examples of data warehouse ie snowflake, oracle exadata database machine, and amazon redshift.

Why These two must go hand to hand:

for Cloud Business Intelligence:

• Cloud BI is cost effective because they are subscription based.
• Cloud Bi applications can be deployed in a short period of time.
• Cloud Bi does not require huge investment thus it reduces the financial risk .
• Organizations of all sizes can take benifit from Cloud BI.

for Cloud Data WareHouse:

• Data accessible becomes easy due to public cloud ie delivering there data in cloud enables the organisation to access the real time data or analyze the data more quickly.
• Much faster.
• Cloud data warehouse enables the database query to run more quickly results, its performance enhance more.
• More secure data.

However, there is some limitation too for both i.e :

for Cloud Business Intelligence:

• To access the cloud BI, a user must need an internet connection.
• Private data like employee information,security key, clients lists, etc may be leak through a trusted third party organisation that offers Cloud BI.

for Cloud Data Warehouse:

• Same as in the case of Cloud BI, To access the Cloud Data warehouse user need an internet connection.
• Initial setup cost of cloud warehouse is huge.
• due to wide varietiles of warehouse, a user confused initially which one will be better.

so, this is some advantages and drawbacks of Cloud Data warehouse and Cloud BI.
