Business process Management is a systematic approach in making the organization workflow more effective. This involves aligning the process to improve the outcome of the project. This is a recurring activity and it involves making the process successful which contributes towards the organization’s success. There are many steps involved in BPM

Any process for that matter requires management. Management is the people who are accountable for the process they handle and they are the ones who makes ultimate decisions about the process. The role of management is to Continuously Monitor, Improve, Brainstorm ideas which are required for the process. Plan the probabilities to ensure the process does not get in to trouble, apply proper controls in place to ensure there are no issues. These are the main roles of a management. Any organization \ process who has effective management skills, they are always successful. Management is required for any process most importantly for below reasons

1. It helps in bring down the cost and contributes to the profitability of the company

2. It helps in Business agility

3. When there is a management in the process it helps in compliance ease and visibity

4. Management helps in customer satisfaction since the management always look for delivering quality work

5. Management helps in staff satisfaction. Even the staff will have somebody to go and talk about the issue to be addressed

The best example I can quote is Telecommunication companies. The telecom vendors will have branches in different parts of the city and each branch will have a management team who is headed by the manager or senior manager. They are primarily accountable for managing the branch and ensure customers are satisfied. The management team are the ones who does the complete planning of what needs to be done, address the issues, Brainstorm to provide good services, keeps the employees happy there. This is the best example I can quote.

The Main activities of BPM are as follows

1. Visualize – helps in visualize the different functions and processes

2. Measure – helps in measuring the factors to success

3. Analyse – Analyses the situations for further improvement

4. Improve – select and implement the improvement

5. Control – Monitor the improvement on a real time basis

6. Re-engineer – revisit the process for better improvement
