Define the terms: “mission” and “vision”. What characteristics do well-written mission and vision statement have? Based on your explanations, please write mission and vision statements for a fictional company of yours and briefly explain how they can help strategic management process.
A mission statement describes the purpose of the organization, its priorities and its commitment to achieving those goals. A Vision Statement outlines the company's expected future role. Elements of mission and vision statements are also used to state the aims, objectives and values of the organization. And the two words are used interchangeably occasionally.

Define what the organisation's performance looks like.
Futuristic: Take out your old books of grammar and check for gerund
verbs. Gerunds are a fantastic start. Many statements of vision
begin with words like, "Creating," "Building," "Moving," but
carefully choose your verb; words matter. If your definition of
vision is too broad, then your audience does not know what you
mean. If your statement is too narrow, your performance can be
reduced.
Clear / Descriptive: Your point should be simple, brief. It paints
excellent picture. Readers should be able to visualize what will be
happening in your organization

The Declaration of Vision outlines the future state an entity is
working toward achieving. Vision is an organisation's long term
aim. Depends on the context, what the long term entails. A Vision
may look ten years ahead for a small company, but for larger
companies or companies seeking more ambitious goals, their Vision
may look twenty, thirty or more years ahead.
The declaration of mission defines the intent of the company or its
high-level business strategy.
