Many vision are written and hung on a wall, Do you think this type of vision has value? What would be required to imprint the vision within each person? 300 words , No written on pen and paper, No copy and paste
Answer: No just writing the vision and hanging it on the wall does not matter much. It is required that the visions are imbibed in the minds of the people rather than on any external object. The values are an internal affair and they should come from inside the people. If the vision and values are just limited to the pen and paper then it cannot motivate any person to achieve something. In order to achieve a vision it is essential that a person should have a commitment towards that vision. By just paying a lip service to the vision it cannot be achieved as achievement of the vision requires a strong commitment and hard work. It is therefore essential that vision which is developed is backed by the personal commitment towards it. The vision guides actions and when there is a lack of commitment towards the vision it will result in the absence of action.
For developing vision in each person it is required that the vision is communicated to them on a regular basis. Apart from this it is required that a commitment towards the vision is developed by explaining them the benefits and advantages of achieving that vision. A leader in the organization should therefore strive hard to communicate the vision to each person in the organization and make him understand its importance. It is important that a relation between the personal values of the individuals and the vision is explained to them .The leaders should therefore explain to the people about the importance of having the vision and following it. When people are aware about the vision and its benefits’ they attempt to develop it in themselves. Before setting a target it is essential that not only the vision related with the target is developed but also a commitment towards it is developed.
