Someone who teaches not only with mind, but also with heart is a good teacher. There is a saying " give me a fish and i eat for a day, teach me to fish and i eat for a life time." this must be a philosophy of a good teacher. One who helps his students in all respects , patient and kind, flexible and resourceful, tolerant and open minded is can make a person a good teacher.

Techniques for a Good Teacher : A number of differnet teaching techniques should be used by a good teacher for encouraging the students to awaken their curiosity and desire to learn. Some popular techniques that can be used by a good teacher are as following:-

1) Flipped Classroom : The Flipped classroom model basically involves encourasing students to prepare for lesson before class. Thus the class becomes a dinamic enviorment in which students elaborate on what they have studied. This allows students to go beyond their normal boundaries and explore their natural curiosity.

2) Design Thinking ( Case Method ) : This is based on resolving cases through group analysis, Brainstorming, and creative ideas. It arouses curiosity, analytical skills and creativity of students.

3) Gamification : Learning through play or gamification is a learning technique that can be very effective at any age. It is very useful technique to keep students motivated. The teacher should design projects that are appropriate for their students. In this way students can enjoy the competition with peers while also having fun and learning.

4) Learning Tools : There are various learning tools which teacher can use to encourage engagement, participation, and a sense of fun into the classroom. for example teachers can create an interactive and dinamic classroom environment using quizzes to test students knowledge.

Personal Characterstics of a good teacher : Success is often determined by the personal characterstics that make up a person. thus a good teacher should have following personal characterstics -

1) Friendliness and Congeniality: the most imporatnt characterstic a good teacher can have is to be friendly and congenial with his students. if so, students can share their problems with him, without being afraid or hesitant.

2) A Good Personality: Students always get attracted to the teachers with good personality which leads to better cmmunication, understanding and ultimately good results.

3) Deep Knowledge and a Great Education: There is a saying that " a teacher is only as good as his knowledge is". if he himself lacks in knowledge of certain subject he can not be a good teacher, So it is very important for a good teacher to have deep knowledge.

4) A Good Communicator: A good teacher should be a good communicator. if his communication skills are good, he can convey his lectures with better skill and results. people love to hear a person who can speak well enough.

5) A Good Listener: a good teacher should be always a good listener, a good listener can develop astrong rapport with students and establishes trusting relationships.

6) Effective Discipline Skills: A great teacher has effective discipline skills and can promote positive behaviours and change in the classroom.

7) An engaging Personality and Teaching Style: A good teacher is very engaging and holds the attention of students in all discussions.
