The most appreciated attributes in a good teacher are adequate knowledge, and the ability to transfer that knowledge to a pupil. Good teachers hold importance not only in a classroom space but they also leave their mark on the personality of the student so that the student takes good decisions outside of school thereby positively impacting their adult years ahead of them. A good teacher provides a good support system, and encourages a student to follow a good work ethic. Teachers that inspire students to learn more are inculcating a habit to continue that process throughout the rest of their life. This habit of continuous lifelong learning enables them to acquire economic benefits. In addition to it such students have better health and increased life expectancy. The existing literature demonstrates that when teachers produce students that are capable of getting high test scores, these students are more likely to earn more money later in life. The reason is that these students opt for higher education in good colleges that empowers them to get high paying jobs.
