In 150 words describe what are some of today's cultural trends that inform our views of sexuality?

Although sexuality was not seriously discussed openly due to the religious restrictions and the domination of the heterosexual practice that’s found in the society, things have changed a lot in the society today. This would mean that the advent of the LGBTQ groups has changed the way people viewed and approached sexuality in terms of expression, orientation and freedom to practice it. Women’s rights movements brought more revolutionary change in the society by making women empowered in terms of their sexual expression. However, the dominant heterosexual people are not able to accept the fact that their beliefs, attitudes and customs are challenged. There are also religious restrictions that still not able to accept the free expression of sexuality and sexual orientation. Although law has given enough freedom, equal rights and protection to all the citizens, the discriminatory practices in the society has put the minorities under great risk not only in terms of safety but also in terms of acceptance in the society.
