Middle adulthood is generally a time when many of the life accomplishments are completed such as , career,marriage, ageing.Significantly, if the issues are not appropriately aligbed , there may be mid life crisis constituting of work problems,marriage problems, education of children, conflicts with family members,ageing or death, illnesses, financial troubles etc.Here we are considering the age groups from 40 to approximately late 50's.There are many changes in the physical bodies that indicate ageing.So, there are changes chronoligically, biologically , socially and psychologically as well.This is based on the Erikson's psychosocial theory of middle adulthood  is to result generativity, or the desire to expand one's influence and commitment to family, society, and future generations.

Here I would like to choose the female midlife issues.Women may try to reassert their femininity by dressing in youthful styles, having cosmetic surgery, or becoming more socially active. Some middle adult women try to look as young as their young adult children by dying their hair and wearing more youthful clothing. Such actions may be a response to feelings of isolation, loneliness, inferiority, uselessness, nonassertion, or unattractiveness.
