Show a work breakdown structure and a project schedule as a Gantt Chart. Explain both of them and discuss how they relate to each other.
Given the system goals, requirements, and scope as they are currently understood, is the project schedule reasonable? Why or why not?
Work Breakdown Structure :
It is a systematic approach of organizing work. It divides the total work in to number of sub parts in a hierarchical manner for better planning, monitoring and controlling. It facilitates the better management practices to complete a particular project successfully. It clearly states the each and every element of project such as cost, resources, time schedule, tasks, risk associated with the project etc. I t is the work plan of whole project
Gantt Chart :
It is to be developed on the basis of work break down structure. It is nothing but a bar chart that helps to see the work status whether it is completed or not or what percentage of work is completed and not completed. It is very much helpful to find the critical paths in your project and delays in project .
Relationship between Work break down structure and Gantt Chart :
Work breakdown structure is to be developed by using the main aspects of project. The total project work is to be divided in to branches depending upon its nature and tasks are to be assigned to each branch in systematically. To prepare this we need full pledged information of project. And then work will be started. Now we need to develop gantt chart which is the part of work break down chart. This gantt chart is a bar chart tells you the progress of work. It is a daily report of work which helps us to make changes in break down structure if need to complete the project by a stipulated time.

Given the system goals, requirements, and scope as they are currently understood, is the project schedule reasonable? Why or why not?
System goals are the project objectives which are the roots of project to make planning and scheduling. It defines the requirements to complete the project. Scope defines the boundaries of the project which states the internal and external factors effect the project and also included and excluded aspects in a project. These are all part of planning and scheduling the project.
For this analysis it is better to develop matrix structure to analyse the elements of project for better understanding, planning, scheduling and implementing to yield the best results. That particular matrix will prioritise the elements pertaining to scope, requirements etc.
It is very important to understand the system goals , requirements and scope of project to plan, schedule project and to complete successfully with our rising costs. But sometimes there may be inconsistency among the such elements at the time of planning and scheduling and another reason may be scarce resources. It may not be fine to adopt change at every time.
